Koonusrull-laagrid on üldiselt eraldatava konstruktsiooniga ning neil on koonuskoonus ja koonusjoon, mille vahele on paigutatud koonusrull. Nende konstruktsioon muudab koonusrull-laagrid eriti sobivaks kombineeritud (radiaal- ja aksiaal-) koormuse kandmiseks.

Koonusrull-laagritel on ühe-, kahe- ja neljarealised. Valmistame nii metrilisi kui ka tolliseid koonusrull-laagreid.
